ABOUT THE AUTHORS

KEITH CAPSTICK - CO-CREATOR

I have always wanted to be a parent but never knew what it meant to be a dad. After Diane and I had our son, I felt a strong connection to provide the best tools to allow our son Ethan who is four, and daughter Rayah who is two, to grow with all the confidence and wisdom that they need.

I always strive to connect with children on their level and bring out the most fun in every situation. This book is my way to spread that fun and joy to everyone who reads it, putting smiles on children's faces.

DIANE RILEY - CO-CREATOR

I have a deep personal connection with the teachings of this project.  Being bulimic in my late teens to mid-twenties lead me to my healing journey of focusing on the same repetitive uplifting and loving material daily. I did not realize it, but I was actually re-programming my subconscious beliefs about myself and the world around me.  I healed myself entirely from bulimia with the help of this practice.

Through my work as a massage therapist, I have first-hand knowledge of the benefit of incorporating a focus on the mind and spirit when the intention is on creating harmony and balance within one's life.

All of this focus on healing within myself and others, combined with the love I have for children, has made this book my passion project from the second I heard Keith sing the first lyric.

TAMMY CAPSTICK - ILLUSTRATOR

I began my artistic journey back in 2000 as a student at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Through the intervening years, I honed my skills with portraiture and commissioned work in watercolor and oil, as well as public art pieces and murals.

A passionate reader and student of literature, I've always had enormous respect for the power of the written word. As a mother who has spent countless hours wandering through intricate, quirky, wonderful picture books worlds, I've come to regard the art of illustration as a sort of subtle wizardry. Needless to say, I was thrilled at the prospect of providing the illustrations for this wholesome and heartfelt project.

I currently live and work in an old house by a river in rural New Brunswick.
